Clear Aligners in Clermont-Ferrand | Invisible Braces
The OrthoClermont practice of Dr François Normand, orthodontist in Clermont-Ferrand, offers treatment with clear aligners. These custom-made transparent plastic trays allow you to straighten your teeth in a near-invisible and completely flexible way.
How does it work?
After a digital scan of your teeth, a series of aligners is produced. Each aligner corresponds to a stage of treatment and gradually moves the teeth. You switch to a new aligner every 1 to 2 weeks. The aligners must be worn 22 hours a day and are only removed for eating and brushing your teeth.
Advantages
- Near-invisible: very difficult to notice
- Removable: eat and brush your teeth normally
- Comfortable: no brackets or metal wires
- Easy hygiene: brushing and flossing without difficulty
- Fewer appointments than with fixed braces
- See the final result before treatment starts (3D simulation)
Points to consider
- Requires good patient compliance (22 hours/day wear)
- Not suitable for every case (some complex malocclusions)
- Aligners must be removed to eat and drink (except water)
- Small attachments may be bonded to certain teeth
Who is it for?
Clear aligners are ideal for motivated adults and teenagers looking for a discreet treatment. They are particularly suited to mild to moderate crowding, gaps between teeth and certain bite issues.
Treatment duration
Duration depends on the complexity of the case, generally between 6 and 18 months. Mild cases can be treated in just a few months. A consultation will determine whether this technique is right for your situation.
